On June 3, 2026, the annual Bashan Temple Fair was held in Qingdao West Coast New Area. This year's fair not only featured folk performances and local delicacies but also introduced social security services for the public. The Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Qingdao West Coast took advantage of the large crowds at the fair to launch the 'Social Security Service Caravan,' focusing on themes such as social security reminders, qualification certification, and anti-fraud measures for pension insurance, providing convenient services for attendees. Staff set up a 'Social Security Companion - Business Reminder' booth at the entrance of the fair, offering targeted services for different groups, helping them understand relevant policies and procedures. Young vendors received detailed explanations about the payment process and subsidy policies for flexible employment insurance, while those nearing retirement were guided on the retirement procedures. Anti-fraud campaigns were actively engaged at the fair, with staff explaining common scams to elderly attendees using real cases, reminding everyone to stay vigilant when handling social security matters. The multifunctionality of social security cards was also showcased, allowing residents to use their cards for medical care, public transport, and subsidies. The event distributed over 2,000 promotional materials, answered more than 600 inquiries, assisted over 80 individuals with qualification certification, and processed over 20 social security card-related transactions, significantly increasing awareness of social security policies. The Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Qingdao West Coast will continue to deepen its outreach into communities and rural areas, normalizing social security services to ensure more residents benefit from policy dividends.
