Qingdao West Coast Football Club will start construction of a youth training base in June 2026, aiming to enhance the youth training level in the Qingdao area. The base will be located in the West Coast New Area, covering approximately 67,000 square meters and accommodating 15,000 spectators, expected to provide quality training conditions for young players. In recent years, Qingdao has made significant progress in youth training, forming a unique 'four-in-one' training model that includes professional clubs, specialized sports schools, social training institutions, and campus football specialty schools. The construction of the new base will provide a solid foundation for Qingdao West Coast Club to cultivate more outstanding football talents. According to the project schedule, the first phase of the youth training base will start in June 2026 and is expected to be completed and put into use in the second half of 2028. This project will not only promote the development of Qingdao's football industry but also inject new vitality into the youth training work of professional clubs. Xu Shang, the investor of Qingdao West Coast Football Club, stated that youth training is fundamental to the club's future development, and they will continue to strengthen the construction of youth teams to contribute more excellent players to the country.
